Our Vision
Greater Vision Christian Church has the mandate of the Great Commission from
our Lord Jesus Christ. The purpose of our mission in ministry is to minister to the lost and bring deliverance to those who are bound. The atmosphere is filled with God’s presence through praise and worship which gives people the opportunity to have an encounter with God.
Ministries are directed by the Holy Spirit for the sole purpose of bringing healing and deliverance to the lives of
unbelievers. Our outreach ministry is designed to minister to the least, the lost and those for whom nothing has been prepared. Through feeding the hungry, providing clothes for many, and visiting
the sick, the fulfillment of The Great Commission is accomplished.
Our Beliefs
STATEMENT OF FAITH
LUKE 4:18
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to
preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set
at liberty them that are bruised"
The Bible
We are a Ministry based on Biblical principles. We believe the entire Bible
is inspired by God on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine.
The Trinity
We believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who is One.
Salvation
We believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is placing our faith in Jesus’ death on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.
Water Baptism
We believe water baptism is a symbol and testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that we are cleansed by His blood.
Communion
We believe in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross for as often as ye eat the bread, and drink of the cup, we remember
the Lord's death till he come.
Growing Relationship
We believe every believer should be in an ever-growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God's Word, empowering and applying God's Word for the betterment of life, yielding to the Holy Spirit and conforming to the image
of Christ.

Pastor, Founder & Visionary of Greater Vision Christian Church
Pastor Gwendolyn D. Bowen is a woman after the heart of God who has been chosen, ordained, anointed, and set apart for the ultimate work of God. She is a prolific woman of God who is making full proof of the ministry that God has called her into as she profoundly operates in the five-fold ministry gifts of the Spirit.
Being not ashamed of the gospel of Christ and knowing it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, Pastor Gwen has availed herself to the service of God whole-heartedly. She preaches the Word of God, is a certified Life Success Coach, inspires and empowers each Monday night during “A Time For Personal and Spiritual Empowerment” on Facebook Live, and organized W.O.P.P. Women Of Powerful Prayer.
Her ministry is being shared worldwide.

Pastor Gwen is a graduate of Fayetteville State University majoring in Early Childhood Education, retired teacher for the Edgecombe County Public Schools System, Spiritual Empowerment coach, author, and Blog Radio host. A born-again woman of God, she received Christ at an early age during Vacation Bible School at White’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Speed, NC. She was baptized in the running waters of a creek near Batts Chapel Baptist Church in Edgecombe County by the late Reverend J.E. James.
She is the daughter of the late Elder Joe Willie Dickens, Sr. and Mother Isabelle Knight Dickens and is the 9th child of 11 children. She married Mr. Jessie Earl Bowen in 2014. She joyfully shares that he is an incredible man who is always by her side and continues to motivate her to be the woman God created her to be.
Pastor Gwen believes God has a purpose for each of our lives. She says, “It matters not who you are, who you think you are, what you’re doing, what you’ve done, where you’re going or where you’ve been.” As a Coach and as a Minister, her teaching provides a guiding light for individuals, groups, and businesses through success coaching and spiritual teaching.
She looks forward to meeting with you personally and being a part of your imparting the Word of God to the People of God!
